Thieves nab more than $1,500 in copper

ALDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Another copper heist has police searching for a culprit and reviewing security tape.

Police are searching for the thieves who hacked away more than $1,500 in copper from a NYSEG substation in Alden.

Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for whomever cut through the Walden Avenue substation’s security fence and made off with the valuable metal.
